Whatever you think of it, hypnosis is a method for communicating directly with the subconscious mind. Few people realize the awesome power their subconscious mind has over their lives.

As a highly trained clinical hypnotherapist, Glen can help you using the power of hypnosis. You will call on the power of your own subconscious mind and put an end to negative bad habits  replacing them with a new, positive, healthy mindset*.

Satisfaction from a bad habit?

Bad habits are persistent patterns of behaviour. We know they can be harmful to us, but we choose to engage in these behaviours despite our own better judgement. But why?

The pattern of your actions are based on personal experiences either imaginary or real, which are locked in your subconscious mind. Somewhere deep down, your subconscious actually feels that your bad habit is good for you because it has stored a feeling of satisfaction you received from the habit. Your subconscious refers to emotions you have already experienced, and it will automatically trigger you to feel these emotions when you  see or think of a particular behaviour. Up to now, your bad habit has given you some form of pleasure or you would not have been doing it.

Why do you develop a bad habit?

The causes for some “bad habits” are rooted in memories or perceptions that may be forgotten by the conscious mind and totally outside of conscious awareness, but are retained in the subconscious.

By using various hypnotic techniques, we are able to communicate directly with the subconscious. We will make the subconscious aware of the negative qualities of the bad habit. Then we will make it  aware of the positive benefits of stopping that habit.

As a result, the next time that old bad habit tries to emerge, your subconscious will change your state of mind to no longer refer to the positive memory or feeling you used to get from the bad habit*.

Do you have a bad habit you would like to change?

If you, or someone you know, has a habit that is affecting life to a point that that habit is controlling you rather than you controlling the habit, maybe it’s time to consider the negative impact that the behaviour is having on your sense of well-being.

Habits like:-

  • Nail biting,
  • procrastination
  • grinding teeth
  • smoking
  • taking drugs
  • eating junk food
  • stealing
  • spending too much time in front of the computer or TV
  • pulling out your hair
  • obsessive compulsive behaviours like having to wash your hands 10 to 20 times a day, having to check 15 times if a light is left on before leaving the house or checking that the house properly locked

The causes for some “bad habits” are rooted in memories or perceptions that may have been forgotten by the conscious mind and totally outside of conscious awareness, but are retained in the subconscious. Hypnosis may help to access the subconscious and change those habits*.
